Honoring, Cham Pain

Cham Pain

The scene opens with RoughKut wrestling's own, Miles Wright standing in the middle of a RKW wrestling ring holding a microphone. The RoughKut arena is completely empty with the exception of the camera crew filming Miles. Miles adjusts his tie and clears his throat as the key grip prompts him to begin in 5, 4, 3, 2…….

MW: Welcome fans, tonight we celebrate the career of one Cham Pain, his professional wrestling debut was in EIWF, a highly popular local independent federation. The entire roster noted his quick rise to the top, his talent was duly noted. His first victory was a 2 out of three falls match with Louis Scala, Cham Pain beat Scala in the first two matches… upsetting Scala and gaining the attention of the whole wrestling federation. After that, his undefeated streak grew longer by the week. Then he gained a win over Cronie for the Internet title. To make a long story short, Cham Pain went undefeated in EIWF and the fed closed with Cham Pain as its world champion.

Next Cham took his talent to EPW, this was RoughKut wrestling's own

MW: HK's home as well. It didn't take long before he won gold and marked up yet another undefeated singles streak, the boy definitely had talent. As most know, with talent comes jealousy, Cham Pain fell victim to many attacks of his character, his skill, and his pride. It didn't get him down, though, he just kept doing what he did best. In my opinion a true champion, indeed. EPW soon closed as well leaving Cham Pain to POW. Again, he quickly and fairly rose to the top, became champion and went undefeated. On a personal note: Cham Pain in my eyes was not "lucky" per say, I have seen him in action, he puts in the work it takes to achieve what he has. I have honestly never seen such a hard worker in any trade.

Let's go back a few days, I had a very special interview with Cham Pain himself after the Merciless pay per view.

The camera focuses on the RKW tron and shows Miles Wright being joined by Cham Pain…

MW: This is Miles Wright joined by Cham Pain after RoughKut wrestling's pay per view event last Saturday.

MW: Let me first start by saying- I am very glad to have you join me tonight Cham Pain. How are you feeling after that match? I mean, hell you took a chair shot that would kill a normal man!

CP: Glad? Of course you are, you're talking to Cham Pain.. retired? Yes, Still a fuckin' legend? Yes. Miles, Did you just claim I was a normal man?

MW: Never, you have proved to the world that you are far above normal. And since you brought it up, why did you retire? Well, why did you choose RKW to be your last stint in pro wrestling?

CP: Well to be honest, all the other feds I joined were already established.. I wanted a challenge. "What kind?", you may ask. Simple, to start from scratch, help a fed get on its feet.. Bring in the ratings, bring in the great matches.. And well to be honest, I exceeded my own challenge by leaps and bounds, now there is nothing left in the world of professional wrestling other than stepping aside

MW: I see. Well being a part of professional wrestling for so long, I can truly say we lost a legend. You definitely gave RKW some matches to remember. I am just amazed that you can even walk after your feud with SyN. How DO you feel about Syn?

CP: Who else is better than SyN to pass the torch to? The guy has got all the elements of a great wrestler. Excellent gimmick, great work ethic, and a real pain in the ass..

MW: Yes, he is a "unique" persona so say the least. But I couldn't think of anyone else at the present time either. I can see why you would end your career at such a high point in your life. You'll always be remembered for the good and not being an "old timer" that hangs on to the glory. But at the same time, you are the most hated man in pro wrestling. Many people wanted to take you out...

MW: Well, I am almost scared to bring him up.. Shane Kai, what are your feelings about him? He claims to have ended your career.

CP: Miles, men wanted to take me out my entire career.. All I ever heard was "Oh I can beat CP", or "I'll be the one to finally silence that overrated bastard". I answered all of those challenges and no one could ever prove me wrong. As for Shane..

CP: Let's just say, some of us need our 'cheap push and angle' for their fame.. The fact was that there was only one man who could stop Cham Pain, and that was Cham Pain himself

MW: Yes, well now that we have that in the open and before it's spread to every "internet wrestling site" online. Even though Shane Kai may have cause CP to lose that match, Cham Pain had signed a document that forfeited the match. He was going to retire either way. It's a shame that a villain like Shane Kai would do such a thing.. but now he's after SyN. Do you think that's what he had in mind?

MW: You know, all along...

CP: I've seen it everywhere I've went, the man wants fame and he wants it now. He'll do whatever it takes to get there, even if it means something like ending my career in such a pathetic angle. He wants SyN, he wants the World Belt, and he wants power

MW: Doesn't everyone. Not to go off on a tangent, but he has managed to stir up the entire federation. He'll have his hands full with SyN.

CP: Reminds me of a Lance Michaels with a good gimmick

MW: Ha Ha, I see your point.

MW: So what plans do you have for the future? Do you ever plan to return?

CP: Absolutely not. That's why it took while to retire in the first place, I wanted to make sure I did everything, and did it so well that no one would ever be able to match it.

MW: That just may be true. What are some of your greatest memories of the sport?

CP: Winning the World title in the EIWF was a blast, mainly because everyone was asking themselves "Where'd this guy come from?!". Then in EPW, I had the task of taking on the entire roster and anyone else who entered in that Four Corners match, and to still come out victorious was not only a blast, but a huge weight off my shoulders.

MW: Wow, what a time that must have been! Well my next question would be what are your worst disappointments, but I think I may know the answer...

CP: Go ahead Miles..

MW: How do you feel about losing your final match? (Miles sits back uneasily)

MW: Well....

MW: You went undefeated throughout your career. It must have been devastating to lose your last chance to leave a federation undefeated?

CP: On the contrary, no.. Now as I play some golf on the courses in my free time, I can listen to people bicker about if "CP could have beaten SyN". We all know that answer, SyN was never able to do it in the past, and it took a steel chair to do it at the PPV. Either way, One point they cannot dispute.. I busted my ass more than ANYONE

MW: Very good point, I thought you had plans of going an entire career without losing. But losing that match sent chills up my spine, it will never be forgotten, you better believe it will be remembered.

CP: Losing, or jobbing to the smarks, was always something that never really occurred to me.. But even the best lose at times, such is the case with my 2 Tag match losses. I just never really could excel in that area, because I was forced to rely on someone else which I was unaccustomed to.. Unfortunately, they didn't come through, but it's something I dealt with and moved on

MW: Understandable, speaking of other wrestlers. Who are some of your best and or worst rivals? Well, enemies?

CP: I was never stuck in any big feuds, because my opponent was never able to hang (grins). I'd say my toughest opponents were guys like SyN who were able to push me and challenge me.. As for worst, we won't mention that incident in EPW where I was forced to face the same guy 5 times, and won them all

MW: (Laughs) You mean..?

CP: Ever see that great basketball player whose nickname is Vin-Sanity? (adjusts collar)

MW: Ah yes, Insanity. A formidable foe, who just couldn't get the job done, per say. While we're on the topic of famous CP-isms. What was your deal with "MO"? I've seen an obsession of sorts with his name.

CP: Ah MO (chuckles). Smarks thought they could get off mocking' that incident in GWA with MO, so I had it backfire in them by beating MO a couple times then inserting clever words with his name in it. That's where the birth of MO-Ron occurred..

MW: Incident? Please clarify?

CP: Don't push your luck Miles (smiles)

MW: Ok. I'll drop it.

MW: Well Cham Pain, I know you want to get your retirement started soon. So I won't take anymore of your time.

CP: Yes, I wouldn't want to waste anymore time of yours either.. I know how you have to interview all those 'talented' stars such as K-9 and Smasher

MW: It has truly been a pleasure interviewing and working with you Cham Pain... I hope you atleast keep in touch. (Miles Stands up and gestures for a hug from Cham Pain)

*SyN, Shane Kai were not available for comment*

CP: Miles, you truly are as stupid as you look, Good day. (Dusts sleeves and struts off)

MW: (Miles slowly lowers his arms looking disappointed) Well fans, that was Cham Pain, though his cocky-ness out weighs most, you will never be able to take away his skill. This is Miles Wright for RKW, signing off...

MW: A moving interview with Cham Pain, now let's have a few words from some of our stars…

Backstage is new comer to RKW but old rivals with Cham Pain, Kris Kage.

KK: "Well CP, it's been fun.-- Wait, no it hasn't! I'm glad you're gone! Now with you gone, nothing stands between the world title and me! Sooner or later, it'll be "Lightning" Kris Kage holding the world title on his shoulder, puffing on a cigarette, ontop of the world. Just you wait CP! Just you wait!"

The camera then cuts to Eric Richardson who is standing by the entrance door to the arena.

ER: "Cham Pain, you suck, you have always sucked, and you will always suck. If you and I meet each other again in the future, and you're dying of thirst, I won't give you a glass of water."

In his office in downtown Detroit Michigan, president HK is in his chair facing the window, he slowly turns the chair to face the camera.

HK: I know we've never really had a match, but I liked your style. You worked harder than anyone I knew did. You'll be missed. As my wrestler, you didn't change a bit. I wish nothing but the best for you. And heal, man, you're worse than that lunatic Foley in WWF is is!

After a few more words from other wrestlers on the staff and from other places, the scene cuts back to Miles Standing in the ring.

MW: Well, now let's watch some footage from CP's illustrious career.

The RKW tron shows footage and plays soft music showing some of Cham Pain's greatest matches from his past and recently. The film gets fuzzy and shows some of Cham pain's painful times. It shows Cham Pain holding up a belt in each federation he was in… the scene fades and the music stops.

MW: Well, we've run out of time, Cham Pain will be surely missed whether some of us like to admit or not. Even though he lost his last match, ever. He will be remembered as a champion. Good bye Cham Pain!

The camera fades with a picture of Cham Pain holding his arm high in the air...as a champion...
