Kut and Pasted NewsNO MORE SMACKDOWN DIARYWhat once was a great chapter in my writing history has become a blip on the radar. I was going to disguise this as a Smackdown diary post, but then I realized that no one would have read it. It’s not a big deal really. I don’t have the time or desire to write at the “quality” level of my lethalwrestling years. Canceling a forced recap that nobody reads is not really going to hurt my feelings. Besides, Triple B has a quality recap that people enjoy far better. Hope he sticks around. Incest among the ranks of WWE?There’s a rumor going around the IWC that there will be an “incest” story line coming soon. Paul Burchill and apparently some diva from OVW will be brother and sister, Joe Dirt style. I’m not going to hold my breath for this one. Not because I think Vince is above it, but because this comes on the wind of another story that’s going around. STEPH FIRES TOP WWE WRITERDave Lagana who is a former head writer and major player on the writing team was reportedly fired by Stephanie McMahon after years of speculation of him leaking stories to dirt sheets. The reason I don’t fully buy this “incest” thing is because the word is, Steph leaked a bunch of fake stories to find out who would take the bait and it seems Lagana couldn’t control himself. Why would an incest story find its way to the internet any other way? The details of this story are long and drawn out and it includes purchases of new computers and phones which were “bugged” with software that tracks employees. This is not very good news for the wrestling news websites because now there’s going to be something to fear by releasing stories. This has been building for weeks/months and for Lagana years. Steph “blew a gasket” when she discovered leaks happening about Vince’s son angle and the whole Jericho build up… as if nobody could have figured that one out. There’s a lot of this Lagana story that I don’t buy, like people catching a glance of him sending emails to newsletters… seriously… how do you catch someone sending an email to someone? There was even a report of Lagana having “newsletters” hanging out of his briefcase or bag or whatever. This whole thing just comes across as ridiculous to me. Seems Lagana wasn’t just a victim of circumstance but he’s not well liked by the locker room, that famous fraternity that decides the careers of many staff from the ring rats on up. You either play along with the boys’ rules backstage or you don’t play at all. Well, knowing all of this information, I wonder who is going to be fired for leaking it. LESNAR LOSESI’m not an MMA fan, it’s a little too fake for me. But I have been half-assed keeping up with Brock’s debuts and his cocky banter and shit talking. After giving Frank Mir a solid ass whooping that requires stitches, he still tapped out to what looked like an ankle lock to me. Seems Brock can’t leave the WWE fully behind after all. Personally, I was hoping to see a shooting star press off the top of the cage. Jim Ross didn’t think it was going to happen in his blog. Brock got humbled real quick after the fight, saying it was nothing to be ashamed about because he lost his first amateur wrestling match too. Rena Lesnar aka Sable becomes Amish« “Former WWE Diva Rena "Sable" Lesnar was shown on Spike TV's "UFC All Access: Brock Lesnar" show last night. Since moving in with Brock Lesnar in their country home in Minneapolis, she noted that they have turned off modern technology for the most part. She said that she shares a single cellphone with Brock, wanted to get rid of her television (but Brock still wants to see hunting shows so they didn't), and dislikes the Internet. Sable said, "We've decided we no longer need to have the Internet. It's a huge waste of time for us. We spent way too much time on it doing unnecessary things. What we've actually done with our life now is try to simplify it a little bit - it makes it a lot easier." The show replays on Spike at 10:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. tomorrow.” » BOOKER T PULLED FROM TNA HOUSE SHOWSHonestly, I don’t know why this is news or why it’s all over the net. There have been a couple of rumors of “problems” and one of those fake links even said that Booker quit TNA and it going to the WWE. The only problem I see is there’s nothing to suggest that there’s anything wrong. Booker was on the last impact, of course via Satellite and continuing the story of his wife being injured. WWE RAISES PPV PRICESAh, the good ol’ days when you could get a PPV for $14. I say that was too much then. Understand this- you assholes are buying 2 HOURS of TV for fucking $40 dollars! It’s not even anything “better” than you’d get on Raw or Smackdown. It’s claimed that WWE is trying to keep pace with the UFC which charges an even more ridiculous price of $44. I don’t know if the term “sucker” applies but it makes me think back to the days when Pro Wrestling was held at carnivals and the term “Mark” meant you’re a f’n dumb-ass who will buy anything and a literal chalk mark was put on your back. I stopped wasting my money on PPVs years ago with the exception of Wrestle-mania. I won’t be buying that anymore either. Here’s a tip. Stop paying for these PPVs and the prices will be lowered. But I highly doubt people will ever be able to tear themselves away from their precious PPVs. PPVs used to be a promise of something “better” than you can get for free on TV. I haven’t heard of a single WWE PPV that was worth paying ANYTHING for much less $40. I don’t blame Vince for this. He doesn’t lose either way. He’s not losing a single dime by putting on a PPV. It’s virtually the same exact show that he does 3 times a week. He just charges a ridiculous fee for it. The ticket prices are raised and he makes probably 400 times more than he does on a weekly show and you get to help him out with that. You MMA lunatics aren’t helping the matter. You’ll probably pay $200 for a silly PPV that you can watch on Youtube the same night. Yeah, yeah, UFC is an upstart and they gotta charge close to $50 to maintain the business and you’re just doing your part as a fan to help. Whatever. It’s a rip off, my friends and you are all suckers. Something I’ve learned over the years as a small business owner; the more you charge the more people will buy. It’s a very strange phenomena but it’s true. I couldn’t understand why people will pay $1000 and in some cases $20,000 for a piece of crap website when they can literally get the same template for free. That’s all for today, folks.
